He is not. [Witness how quickly Mikleo rises to Sorey's defense. Not to mention how huffy he gets about it.] He's more intelligent than most give him credit for.
[Ominous pause.]
Though, given how you just described Stahn that, I guess that's as close to a compliment as Sorey's going to get.
I can't deny he's too trusting. [Like. Nobody in their right mind can. He doesn't think even Sorey can deny this.] Sometimes, he gets in over his head or doesn't think about the consequences of his actions, but that doesn't make Sorey any less of a good person.
... as for the rest... Leon is quiet for a moment, but it's the simmering sort of quiet that comes from a lot of pent up feelings. (At least his grasp on Mikleo tightens instead of loosening, so he's probably not going to drop Mikleo right now. No matter how irritated he gets.)]
Stahn is an idiot and a buffoon who thinks that everyone is his friend regardless of what sense should tell him. He goes through his life with his head in the clouds as though it is perfectly fine to carry on carelessly, butting himself into business that isn't his with the same irritatingly cheer that he treats everything with! In the end it is only going to hurt him, but of course he is too much of a fool to realize that!
[And Leon hates it, because he understood life before Stahn happened, and now... now everything is a mess, and he still doesn't understand Stahn. But Stahn is pure sunshine, and a better person than the world deserves in a lot of ways, and for some reason he tries to stay as Leon's friend even though it just hurts him over and over again and Leon hates it.
(But he doesn't want Stahn to give up on him either.)]
Mikleo's quiet through that tirade, though. He's quiet a little after Leon settles down, too. Eventually, the water seraph speaks.]
Then it's a good thing that he has you here with him to prevent those foolish mistakes from happening, or to at least caution him about them if he's so set on his decision. Isn't it?
[Leon settles down through the silence as well, quiet and keeping his eyes trained straight ahead. Ultimately, though, he sounds much calmer after Mikleo's input.]
I am not his keeper.
[But, of course, he'll do it anyway.
And... well, not even Leon can bring himself to admit out loud that trying to be Leon's friend is the most foolish mistake Stahn has made so far--it's not hard to realize that Stahn, just like Marian, would have been better off without knowing him.]
Though I suppose if nothing else, he would find a way to drag me into it anyway. [So yeah, he'll stop him, to the best of his ability.]
[Mikleo refrains from saying, "No, you're not his keeper. You're his friend. That's what friends do." Later, perhaps, when he's not feeling like death.]
[Now they're in agreement that clearly the reason they look after their sunshine protag is because they have important shit to do.
Sure guys. Whatever floats your boat.
Leon makes an assenting, acknowledging noise at that, before he focuses instead on striding over to that apartment. He has no issues with dropping Mikleo off here; if he passes out in the hallway that is not Leon's problem.
(Besides, he's starting to get tired, which is a thing he will also never acknowledge.)
So, as soon as Mikleo is off his back and back on his own feet, Leon is brushing himself off and turning to go.]
Fine. Then I'm off.
[Aaaand he's going to start walking off before Mikleo gets the chance to say much else... this is Leon's attempt to avoid being thanked more, honestly, he's not good at handling that sort of thing.]
[Hopefully the reaction will be everything Mikleo hoped for; Leon pulls out the device, reads the text and you can see the moment in which he bristles like a startled cat.
And then he slams the CereVice back into his pocket without responding, shoulders hunched a little and strides off more rapidly as though to out-walk his embarrassment.
action;
That almost sounded like fondness. But I'm glad he's okay.
[Otherwise, the Swordian Master will have more trouble on his hands.]
action;
I am not fond of him! [aslbfsgnlk!!!!!] I hate happy-go-lucky bastards like him the most, so don't get any strange ideas!
[Ugh!!!!!
Nah they're best friends for real though.]
action;
Mikleo winces slightly, but he's able to hide his smile at that.]
My mistake. Shame you won't like my friend very much, especially since he'll be visiting the shop more often when we're better.
action;
You mean Sorey.
[He knows that much...... with how Sorey reacted when Leon brought up Mikleo's name.]
Your friend is an irritation and an idiot.
[Leon ur rude]
action;
He is not. [Witness how quickly Mikleo rises to Sorey's defense. Not to mention how huffy he gets about it.] He's more intelligent than most give him credit for.
[Ominous pause.]
Though, given how you just described Stahn that, I guess that's as close to a compliment as Sorey's going to get.
action;
(The word you are looking for is "friends", Leon.)]
He is overly optimistic and meddles for no good reason. He trusts too easily, too--
[wait what SHUT YOUR MOUTH, MEEBO.]
It was not a compliment. Not for Stahn either! Don't be ridiculous! [HMPH]
action;
I can't deny he's too trusting. [Like. Nobody in their right mind can. He doesn't think even Sorey can deny this.] Sometimes, he gets in over his head or doesn't think about the consequences of his actions, but that doesn't make Sorey any less of a good person.
[HMPH YOURSELF, GOSH.]
Does Stahn agree that you're not friends?
action;
I don't need him sticking his nose in my business.
[That's just said sullenly, and then, most flustered--]
His opinion has nothing to do with this.
[Stahn doesn't agree]
action;
He wouldn't if you told him not to.
[Ahah. Mikleo sees what's going on here.]
Stahn thinks you're his friend, doesn't he?
action;
[Imagine Sorey's kicked puppy face here.]
See to it that he sticks to it. [Hmph!!!

action;
Probably. He seems the type.
action;
The noise Leon makes is derisive at that--mostly at Stahn and his type, yeah.]
Hmph.
If you are so interested in him, talk to him more yourself. [Go be his friend or something, Stahn would love that, Leon's sure.] Leave me out of it.
action;
[Gosh.]
action;
Either way, Leon's quiet for a moment before he just lets it go.]
And I will deal with him as much as I have to. He has a role to accomplish in our world still.
[And it's one that Leon wants to make sure he gets home to do.]
That is all there is to it.
[It's not like he cares and that's why he wants to make sure Stahn stays safe.]
action;
Sorey does, too. It's just part of the reason I'm trying to make sure he doesn't get killed for a stupid mistake.
[There are a multitude of other reasons, too, but that's one he's willing to admit.
Mikleo looks up and aha! There's the apartment! Carefully, he points to it.]
That's our apartment right there. I can make it inside if you drop me off at the door.
action;
Sure guys. Whatever floats your boat.

Thanks, Leon.
[He waits long enough to see the human's reaction before going inside the apartment.]
action;
And then he slams the CereVice back into his pocket without responding, shoulders hunched a little and strides off more rapidly as though to out-walk his embarrassment.
Congrats, Mikleo.]
