CERES wasn't mentioned, but the Spirits were. Still, it's not as if anyone has given me the real history behind Cerealia from beginning to present. Books on the subject are so vague and heavily biased in Vincere's favor that there's only so much truth I can get from it.
[Then again, it's why he wants to look into those ruins in the jungle Sorey mentioned.]
The Spirits seem to parallel something from my world. The Five Lords, the seraphim powerful enough to be the source of our Seraphic Artes through their blessings. Fire, water, earth, wind, and void, the one without an element. My bet is that either Vincere or the new CEO are the cause for their dislike.
Wouldn't surprise me. Vincere was a real piece of work, but we never actually heard from our spirit friends until the old bag started running the show.
[take that as you will, mikleo. yuri's got his own ideas, but he doesn't have enough evidence to call it anything resembling definitive for the time being.]
Of course not. Honestly...it'd be nice if humans in a position of power could be forthright and truthful, but no. Those types are just too rare in that line of work.
[He shakes his head. This conversation has certainly derailed itself.]
At any rate, I appreciate you calling me. And, uh...seriously, I'm sorry about slamming that book in your face. I've been meaning to apologize for that once you got better.

[Really, it's a shame this place is out of his league in a technological sense.]

[so much bullshit, and he's sick of being caught up in it.]

[he kind of forgot that part even happened until now. there were too many more horrifying things said and done to make that even a blip on the radar.]
