I suppose that some superstitions aren't so bad, but I think I'd put more stock in a tarot card reading than something I got from a cookie.

Mostly, there's a person giving you the fortune. It's not that much more credible since it's a person interpreting the cards' meaning, but at least it's a little more personal.
